Looking for personal training in Sussex? Horsham-based female personal trainer, Becky, is soon to increase her availability – read on to find out more…

Having qualified in 2021, I’ve spent almost four years building my personal training business around an office job, and I’m excited to share that I’ll soon be leaving said job to PT full-time! So I thought it was time to share who I work with, where to find me, and when I’m available.

The kind of people I train…

Varies! I’m qualified in two specialisms – cancer rehab and COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) – and have developed a client base both within and outside of those demographics. Those who are drawn to me also tend to be looking for help to improve their confidence in the gym, as well as having the accountability of a booked session to attend!

I work with people of all gender identities, though the majority of my current clients are women – I think that is because a lot of women are looking for another woman to guide and train them, someone who understands that how their body feels can vary significantly, as well as how they feel about being in a gym environment.

Some of my clients choose to train independently as well as with me, and I factor this into the programming of all sessions. If you are going to be training alone, I structure the session to ensure that you understand how to set everything up and navigate the gym, as well as having the confidence to perform each movement correctly.

I’m not saying that I’m a miracle-worker, but… having turned myself from PE-phobe into gym fanatic, I’m an expert in helping others to do the same. I only found my way into the gym when I turned 30, and I know what it’s like to feel that you don’t belong, or aren’t worthy of your place. I also know how to change that, so if you choose to train with me, the extra benefit is that you’ll start seeing yourself very differently.

Where I train clients

I’m based at Dual Strength + Fitness in Horsham, West Sussex. Like most personal trainers, I base myself at one facility. By arrangement, I do sometimes travel and train clients at their home – this is particularly applicable to some people who are on active cancer treatment, and we’ll discuss this when you get in touch with me.

You don’t have to be a member at Dual to train with me – although if you decide that you like it there, you’re more than welcome to join! – sessions are all booked and paid for directly with myself, I take care of the rest.

When I’m available for personal training

As of 6th October, I’ll be seeing clients on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays (with the exception of Bank Holidays and some other dates). The earliest session I offer is 7:00am, and I generally don’t work beyond early afternoon – I like the early bird sessions, and this means that I avoid the evening rush that tends to happen at the gym.

My timings are ideal for those who like to start their day with an energising workout, or who need a post-school run time slot. These sessions can also be good for those who like a mid-morning or lunchtime movement break. Choosing a portion of the day to work with clients also means that I can make sure that I’m fresh and giving the best level of service possible.

The number of sessions you have each week or month is up to you – payment is made individually, and I don’t tie my clients into a contract. Some people choose to work with me weekly, others will see me fortnightly or monthly – the choice is yours as I am to be as flexible as I can.

Autumn can be a busy time of year for us all. I start my relationship with every client via a free consultation – ideally face to face, sometimes via phone – so if you’d like to book in for a chat, get in touch!
