Compassionate & Empowering Strength-Training
Personal traininer in Horsham, focusing on rehabilitation and personal training for women, cancer patients, cancer survivors and those living with COPD
One-to-one personal training in Horsham
I’m a personal trainer based in Horsham, West Sussex, and I work with women who are done being told what their bodies should look like or be capable of. I’m also a cancer survivor — which means when I say I understand what you’re going through, I mean it.
I believe exercise and rehabilitation should feel empowering, not punishing. And I believe you deserve a trainer who actually listens.
My Services
You don't need to already know what you're doing. Whether you're brand new to the gym or coming back after a long time away, sessions are built entirely around you - your goals, your pace, your body.

One-to-one personal training
Whether you’re entering the gym for the first time or you’ve been there before, personal training sessions allow you to experience one-to-one bespoke training. Your goals and needs come first, and we’ll run through everything from technique to performance. Face to face sessions take place in Horsham, West Sussex.

Cancer prehab and rehab
For those living with and beyond cancer. Cancer is a daunting situation, and having expert help is a must. Thanks to both professional training and lived experience, Becky can guide you through the fitness and rehabilitation element of your cancer journey. Whether you’re preparing for treatment, trying to keep moving, or ready for the next phase of recovery, your needs can be individually and safely met.

Speaking, writing and more
Having advocated for my own care, I’ve developed an important skill in dealing with medics at a time when I was vulnerable and disempowered. This is something that I truly believe is a teachable skill, and knowledge that I’d be happy to pass on via writing and speaking. My journey to physical and mental health recovery could well help others, so if learning more about how I came to be where I am would help you, please get in touch to find out more.

What people say
Molly A Making time for enjoyable movement and building confidence were my top priorities when I started looking for a PT. Becky is supportive, very knowledgable and inclusive in her approach 🏳️🌈 I look forward to our sessions and felt the benefit from them almost immediately - the right balance of encouragement and making progress. Highly recommend!Posted on Google Stacey Mearns Becky has been great to work with. I learnt so much from her and she completely helped me mix up what had become quite a stagnating gym routine. She introduced me to strength training in a way that felt approachable, motivating, and genuinely enjoyable — and honestly helped me fall back in love with training again. I’d highly recommend her to anyone looking to build strength and enjoy the process along the way.Posted on Google Lydia Eccleston It’s been an absolute pleasure working with Becky. I came to her with a number of health issues and a goal of becoming fitter, and she created a perfectly tailored plan to suit me. In the time we’ve worked together, Becky has completely changed how I view fitness and exercise. She’s helped me rethink how I track progress, which has had a hugely positive impact on my mental health, something I never expected when I first reached out to her. I’ve learnt so much throughout the process and have felt fully supported every step of the way. I couldn’t recommend Becky more highly.Posted on Google Sarah Ayub I loved working with Becky on my reintroduction to strength training. I had been given a training programme by my physio to help with a netball injury and we worked together on the more unfamiliar exercises with a focus on form. Becky was able to work through the programme and adjust where needed based on my current ability, and offered great advice on how to make the most of these. Becky is a great communicator and was also able to demystify some of the exercises and use plain English in order to make them more meaningful and memorable to me. Also great at reminding me to breathe mid-count too!Posted on Google Emily Jacob I worked with Becky as my personal trainer in the beginning of 2025 (I am terrible at leaving recommendations late...) and she was fabulous. It was probably the best personal training experience I've had - and not because it was over Zoom and online, but because of the compassion and understanding Becky showed for my struggles, and also the no-nonsense approach to 'if you do nothing, everything will stay the same...'. Combining both with grace is a gift that I've not come across before. I felt that I had a cheerleader who wouldn't sugarcoat the truth, and that is rare. If you are differently abled and full of body shame, I cannot recommend Becky to you highly enough - hire her now!Posted on Google Helen Kingsley I started working with Becky post cancer as I was wanting to get fitter and stronger. I wasn’t confident but she was super flexible and patient with me which I really valued. She gave me a lot of confidence and I’m so pleased I picked up the phone to her. She’s also a super lovely human being. Would thoroughly recommend. H xPosted on Google Michelle Ravenor Becky is wonderful! A fantastic trainer (and a great person). I'm at the beginning of a recovery journey after an illness and surgery, Becky absolutely gets it. She shows up with empathy AND the skills to tailor my training to where I am at and what I need to keep moving forward. Working with Becky has definitely sped up my recovery and helped me prepare and recover from surgery and I know it's onwards and upwards with her to help me!Posted on Google Beth Jackson Whatever fitness level you’re at Becky will make sure you’ve got the basics down so you’re training properly and safely. She explains everything super clearly and makes it really easy to understand what you should be trying to make your body do. She also clearly loves what she does which makes a huge differencePosted on Google Erin Lewis I am LOVING working with Becky. For years I felt weights and personal training weren't for me, because I didn't really fit the aesthetic of gym bunny. I didn't want to make it my life. But as ive moved through my 30s and learned more about my health as a woman, I realised that building muscle is essential to the life I want to have as I get older. Cue Becky Hughes Training! We had one conversation in a sauna and I found that I don't have to have weekly sessions or sign up to months at a time - I was sold! Not only am I getting stronger physically but she's helped me find the confidence to walk into a gym like I belong there. Her sessions are always prepped in advance and she adjusts in real-time so that I'm getting the absolute most out of my session, every time. If you're looking for a PT, she's your woman!Posted on Google Sue Salamon Becky has been brilliant at helping me find my confidence and motivation to step back in the gym. Looking forward to getting stronger!Posted on Google Google rating score: 5.0 of 5,
